NTSE Syllabus 2020-21. National Talent Search Examination 

Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2020-21 has been released by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). As per the advertisement released by the council on Monday, October 5, the NTSE examination will be conducted in two phases for the identification and enhancement of talent among the students studying in 10th standard in the academic session 2020-21.


The NTSE Stage 1 exam will be held at the state level, which will be conducted by the respective state exam regulator or officer or department, while the Stage 2 exam will be conducted at the national level by NCERT. Scholarship will be given by the government from 11th to PhD to the students selected under the National Talent Search Examination. The process of application for the stage 1 examination of NTSE will be started soon on the website of the concerned state authority or department and the last date of application will be announced by the state authority itself.


Those students who are studying in a recognized government or private school during the academic session 2020-21 are eligible to apply for the National Talent Search Examination 2020-21. These students will have to appear in the Stage 1 examination to be conducted by the education department of the government of their respective state or union territory. There are no domicile restrictions for the NTSE exam. Also, students studying in 10th standard from Open Distance Education (ODL) are also eligible to apply, provided they are less than 18 years of age on 1 July 2021, the student or student is not employed anywhere and 10th class Is going to sit in the exam for the first time.


Under the selection process of NTSE 2020-21, students will have to appear in Stage 1 examination in the first phase. The application for the Stage 1 examination can be made on the website of the concerned state government education department or exam regulatory authority. The date of National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2020-21 has been released. Stage One examination will be held on December 13 for the preliminary level of this scholarship examination to be taken by NCERT. At the same time, the examination for second stage will be taken on 13 June 2021.

ONLINE APPLY    (17/10/2020 start) 

It consists of students of class X studying in National Board along with State Board.  Only students who are successful in the preliminary examination appear in the second stage examination.  The date of application for preliminary examination has not been released yet.  Online application will be released soon by the state SCERT.  NTSE is conducted in two stages every year.  The students selected in the second stage are given scholarships for higher education every year.
